C. Gilberto Brito, M.D.

Dr. Brito is board certified by the American Board of Urology. He was born in Ecuador but moved to Wichita, Kansas, as a youngster. He graduated with Honors from the University of Kansas with a degree in Biology. He attended the University of Kansas Medical School where he was Alpha Omega Alpha. He then performed his residency in general surgery and urology at Indiana University Medical Center. He has been in practice with Urology Associates since 1991.

Dr. Brito has long been actively involved in organized medicine. He has served in leadership positions on numerous boards. At Scottsdale Healthcare Shea Hospital he has served as Section Head of Urology, Chairman of the Department of Surgery and most recently as Chief of the Medical Staff. He also served on the Governor's Task Force on Prostate Cancer. He has a broad interest in the field of urology but he has special expertise in DaVinci Robotic Prostatectomy and in female incontinence surgery. He also has vast experience in urologic research. Dr. Brito has been named to Phoenix Magazine's "Top Doctor" list numerous times over the last decade.

Dr. Brito has three adult children. He and his wife enjoy travel. He is an avid golfer and is actively involved in The Thunderbirds, a charitable golf organization.
