William W. Bohnert, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Bohnert is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a native of Jasper, Indiana. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Indiana University where he was also the starting catcher on the baseball team. He then attended Indiana University School of Medicine where he earned Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He completed his urology residency at Indiana University Medical Center. He has been in practice with Urology Associates since 1970.

Dr. Bohnert has served in numerous leadership positions for different medical organizations over the years. He has been President of both the Phoenix Urologic Society and the Arizona Urologic Society. He also was President of the Maricopa County Medical Society and President of the Western Section of the American Urologic Society. He was the long-time Section Head of Urology at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and also served as Chief of Staff at this institution. He was also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Catholic Healthcare West – Arizona, the parent corporation of St. Joseph’s Hospital. Since the inception of Phoenix Magazine’s “Top Doctor” issue, Dr. Bohnert has been a regular on the list. Currently, Dr. Bohnert concentrates on the urologic needs of the north Scottsdale area.

Dr. Bohnert has three adult children. He has varied and wide interests including travel, golf and athletics. He is a long time member of The Thunderbirds, a charitable golf organization.
